Dubai Municipality to hold seminar on safe storage and handling of dangerous goods

Dubai Municipality is organising on 28 August, a seminar on the 'Technical Requirements for Safe Storage of Dangerous Goods in the Emirate of Dubai' in order to provide officials and staff of related government agencies and private companies with essential information on the correct handling, storage and segregation of dangerous goods.
"With increasing importation and quantity of dangerous goods used in constructions business in the Emirate in Dubai, it is very crucial that special requirements on storage of dangerous goods are met to prevent any incident or accidents involving dangerous goods," he said.
The seminar, which will be attended by Eng. Alya AbdulRahim, Head of Coastal Management Section and Assistant Director of Environment Department, and Eng. Rashid Karkin, Head of Environment Planning Unit, who will give a presentation on the seminar topic.
The seminar will provide emergency services with vital information on hazard, fire fighting and personal protective equipment and occupational health and safety of staff involved in handling dangerous goods.
