QNB to buy 24% of UAE bank

Qatar National Bank plans to buy a 23.77% stake in Dubai-based Commercial Bank International, reported Reuters. Qatar National said it proposed to buy 297.69 million shares in Commercial Bank to diversify revenues. A 24% stake in CBI would be worth just over Dhs1bn ($272.3m), based on Tuesday's closing share price.
