Sahara Centre's 'Spreading the light of happiness' campaign marks the beginning of a noble initiative during the Holy Month. The campaign includes identification of about 30 to 40 wishes from needy children, enclosed in an envelope and placed in the promotion area, on the 1st level in the mall.

On picking up an envelope and fulfilling the wish, every customer will be given a lit lantern that will be later mounted on a crescent shaped board placed near the donation area. With each progressing night, a new lit lantern will brighten up the mall, spreading the light of happiness during the Holy Month. Every participant will have a coupon to give them the chance to enter the draw to win a Hummer H2 SUT.

To reiterate the concept of giving and sharing, Sahara Centre has re-organised the Ramadan Charity Auction this year. Three cars -- Optra, Aveo and Epica -- will be auctioned in the mall. To further build the excitement and festivity, a Hummer H2 SUT is also up for grabs for a raffle draw. Customers spending a certain amount at any outlet in Sahara Centre are entitled to enter the raffle.

Commenting on the Ramadan Promotion, Jean Pierre Nammour, Managing Director of Sahara Centre, said:
"Ramadan is a month of sharing and giving. We at Sahara Centre always ensure that these thoughts reflect in all the promotions that we organize. Like always, this year we are embarking on 'Spreading the light of happiness' campaign by way of helping children who are less fortunate than us. Through this campaign we are moving a step forward in restating our commitment to the society."

Last year, Sahara Centre introduced the Ramadan Charity Auction, where the proceeds went to Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) - a local charity organisation that provided care and rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities.

"Following the success of our Ramadan Charity Auction, we decided to initiate it again this year as it complements the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan. Unlike last year, this year we only have cars on auction. We unanimously took this decision to make the auction more structured and exciting. All the proceeds collected will be donated to the Sharjah Charity International. We are very optimistic that our promotions would evoke a sense of responsibility within our customers and we will all together enhance the lives of the underprivileged amongst us," said Rima Chammas, Marketing Manager of Sahara Centre.

Sahara Centre has announced a number of value-added customer offers, unbelievable bargains including discounts up to 70% at select outlets and a variety of cuisines at the spacious food court for families spending Iftar together throughout the Ramadan campaign.
