The Indian Cultural Night, held in association with the Consulate General of India on September 25, will showcase the richness of Indian culture and heritage.
The Ramadan Majalis for the media will include open interaction with senior officials from the Road and Transport Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai School of Government, Muhammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and Etisalat, in addition to a special majlis on the concerns and issues of the media fraternity. The activities will also include a journalists' day in association with the Journalists Union, the details of which will be revealed soon.
Drawing attention to the diversity and richness of the activities lined up for the holy month, Maryam Bin Fahad, Executive Director, Dubai Press Club, said the programs reflected the suggestions and aspirations of the media community.
"The programs demonstrate the richness and diversity of Dubai and its media community. We featured cultural nights in the past also with a view to turn Ramadan nights into a vibrant occasion. We are featuring India with its fascinating traditions and heritage this year,"
she pointed out.
Speaking on the Ramadan majalis, Maryam Bin Fahad said they provided an opportunity for serious discussions between journalists and decision makers in both the Public and Private sectors.
"The majalis revolve around the hottest local issues of concern at the time, in addition to being the platform for the leaders of the participating companies to unveil their future plans and projects. On top of all, they are occasions for serious discussions and exchange of views,"
she explained.
Promising that the majalis will provide rich material for the journalists and will spring many surprises, Bin Fahad has called upon all the media persons to participate in the month-long programs and wished them a great and fulfilling Ramadan.
