According to race promoter Singapore GP, more than 95% of the tickets have already been sold, with 40,000 of each day's 100,000 tickets sold purchased from buyers outside Singapore.
The world-class affair is already set to be one of the most dramatic and atmospheric Grand Prix races ever, complete with a breathtaking street circuit in the heart of downtown Singapore.
To get fans revved up for the big race, the 'Singapore GP Season', a series of Formula 1™ themed premium activities and experiences will be held over three weekends from 20 September to 5 October.
Anchored by more than 10 lifestyle events including the Singapore River Festival, Opera Gallery's Master's Formula, the Amber Lounge Party and the Bulgari Watch Exhibition, the upcoming GP Season will boost Singapore's standing as a top events and entertainment capital.
According to the Singapore Tourism Board, the historic Grand Prix race are part of an exciting line-up of events and attractions that form part of Singapore's unique transformation strategy.
"Singapore is entering an exciting phase in its tourism development, and the Formula 1™ night race will add to our growing reputation as a world-class destination, offering some of the most unique and cutting-edge experiences,"
said Jason Ong, Area Director, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board.
"The sporting world's attention will be on Singapore during the Formula 1™ night race, and we expect to fully deliver on a top-notch program that will excite all racing fans."
