Mohamed Al Hashemi, Supervisor of the group Iftar tent, said:
"The organizing committee sought the importance of continuing of this event as it has a positive effect and impact in the hearts of expatriates during the holy month of Ramadan."
He indicated that this event was highly praised by the audience in the past few years and that's why the DTCM decided to include it again in the 7th Ramadan forum.
The group Iftar coincides with the true meanings of the holy month and the importance of Muslim integrity and harmony.
He said: "Due to the increasing numbers of fasters every year we decided to increase the space to fit more than 2500 person taking into consideration quality performance and food as well."
He explained that the group Iftar coincides as well with the cultural lectures of preachers in Urdu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Various audio and visual publications will be distributed in several languages to teach the audience the rituals and beliefs of Islam.
All the brochures and tapes have been accurately revised by the legal and Islamic authorities in the UAE.
The tent will also witness various cultural and religious competitions in order to encourage labourers increase their religious understandings.
Nominal gifts will be distributed among the winners and attendees. Financial rewards will be also granted to the winners at the last day of the event.
