The aim of the CIEP Open Day is to allow future business innovators to learn more about the CIEP in terms of how it can benefit them and their business. It will also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask any questions they may have related to the course.
The CIEP Open Day will showcase the course by offering four separate zones. Each zone will focus on the key elements of the CIEP and will be hosted by an expert in the particular element.
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar has secured Grahame Maher, Vodafone Qatar CEO, as keynote speaker and host in the Corporate Innovation zone. Maher will be sharing his corporate innovation experience with the audience.
"I am very much looking forward to taking part in the CIEP Open Day. Vodafone have brought innovative products and services to customers all over the world and we are very excited about bringing our global experience to make a world of difference for people in Qatar,"
says Maher.
The CIEP Open Day follows the success of the 'Evening with Doug Richard' event, an event that took place in June to motivate potential entrepreneurs to sign up for the CIEP. "The first event was a huge success and we saw a lot of motivated and keen potential innovators and entrepreneurs," says Mohamed Dobashi, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar Associate Professor & Executive Director of CIEP.
"We are very much looking forward to the second year and wonder what new unimagined ideas students will come up with. We are extremely keen to encourage new budding entrepreneurs to sign-up for this year's program, which starts in October,"
says Dobashi.
