Tanmia facilitates employment of 41 UAE Nationals with leading private sector groups

Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority, has announced recently, that it has enabled 41 UAE National jobseekers, who completed the Diploma course in 'Bridge 2 work' training programme, find jobs with the Al Rostamani Group and the Al Gurg Group, two leading private sector business establishments in the UAE.

During the graduation ceremony for the candidates who successfully completed the 20-week course, Al Rostamani Group offered employment contracts to 20 National jobseekers, while the Al Gurg Group presented contracts to 21 jobseekers.

The graduation ceremony was held at the National Institute of Vocational Education (NIVE).

Noora El Bedour, Manager of Employment and Skills Development Centre, Tanmia, said:

"We thank the Al Rostamani Group and the Al Gurg Group for supporting our emiratisation efforts in a big way; the support of the private sector is undoubtedly crucial in maximizing employment opportunities for UAE National jobseekers. The selected candidates, having completed the comprehensive course 'Bridge 2 work', possess the required skills that will enable them to perform with utmost efficiency at the work place."


The 'Bridge 2 work' training programme consists of 20 weeks of classroom and on- the- job training.

The Diploma course is divided into three phases. The first phase includes six weeks of study (30 hours per week) leading to an internationally accredited (BTEC Business and Technology Education Council) Diploma in Skills for Employment.

The second phase comprises six weeks of study for one of the following BTEC credentials selected by the student: BTEC Intermediate Diploma in Customer Services, Business Administration or Retailing.

The third phase of the programme consists of eight weeks of on-the-job training, leading to the NIVE Diploma in 'Bridge 2 work'.

About Tanmia:
Tanmia, the National Human Resource Development & Employment Authority in the UAE, was established by a Presidential decree in November 1999, to address the imbalance in the labour market, due to excessive dependence on expatriate workforce. Tanmia is engaged in a coordinating role, between national job seekers and employers in the private and government sectors, to facilitate increased entry of nationals in the labour market.
