In the wake of exceptional third quarter revenue growth in the Gulf Region, Sun Microsystems aims at Gitex to provide consumers with a comprehensive understanding of how strategic deployment of its storage, software and systems solutions enhance return on investment by reducing costs, providing better service, and giving companies an edge over competitors.
"Sun is fueling the revolution for 'Open' systems and software, and will be driving the message further this Gitex,"
explained Deena Habib, Marketing Manager for Sun Microsystems MENA.
Habib said, "This year Sun will be showcasing the X86 Blade Servers, our fastest growing product segment in the market which features the latest Intel and AMD processors. Gitex is the perfect forum for Sun Microsystems to demonstrate for consumers how the X86 Blade Server and other open-source products use non-proprietary architecture to minimize the cost and complexity of the modern datacenter."
Sun's latest ultra thin client, the SunRay, which is replacing PCs in businesses across the region and advancing the case for virtualization will also be featured.
"We see Gitex as one of our most important annual events because it gives us a chance to meet directly with enterprise customers to discuss the latest industry solutions and meet key decision makers from diverse industry verticals,"
added Habib.
Visitors will witness demonstrations and solutions at Sun's partner stands such as Aptec in Hall 3.
