Emirates NBD completes phase one of culture creation

Emirates NBD completed phase one of creating its new organisational culture of superior customer experience as more than 5,000 employees participated in "My Bank, Our Values" workshops during a period of 5 months.

More than 100 workshops were conducted in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Riyadh from March through August 2008 involving employees at every level and across all functions of Emirates NBD.

Nearly 100 employees participated in the closing ceremony for phase one of the bank's culture creation workshops which was attended by Emirates NBD CEO and members of Executive Committee and senior management.

His Excellency Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman Emirates NBD, said:
"We are pleased to have involved most of our employees in interactive workshops where they shared the bank's new vision, mission, financial aspiration and corporate values set. Our employees are focused on our customers around the world to achieve the Group's vision: 'to be globally recognised as the leading and most dynamic financial services provider based in the Middle East'. These workshops set culture of superior customer experience for all employees across the group. This new Emirates NBD culture and values are the foundation for our bank's future."

Emirates NBD partnered with GENYX Consulting, partner in culture creation and strategy implementation, to help align and engage all employees as the group integrates its businesses and operations and creates its new culture. GENYX, a UAE based consulting company, helped in designing and facilitating the roll out of the culture workshops so that staff from all parts of the bank commit to the bank's aim to be an international benchmark in the financial services sector. Emirates NBD has set a strong vision, clear mission, and inspiring ambition to be a world leader. No other bank in the Middle East has undertaken such a deep and wide culture creation initiative.
