Fire may delay Atlantis opening
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, September 03 - 2008 at 07:13
A massive fire which broke out in the lobby of The Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah on Tuesday has cast doubt on the opening of the hotel, which had been scheduled for September 24. Early reports say the fire may have started as welders were working in the area. The hotel management said the extent of the damage has yet to be determined, but that it would cause no delay in the opening of the resort. However, sources told Gulf News that the opening would be delayed.
