Hill & Knowlton promotes Dave Robinson to CEO Hill & Knowlton Middle East & Africa

He will continue to oversee the company's long established operations across the Middle East. Prior to Hill & Knowlton he held senior communications positions with firms in the UK and more recently Greece.

This new appointment comes as part of Hill & Knowlton's goal to develop an extensive platform in Africa as the continent continues to grow in importance and relevance to its clients. Dave Robinson will oversee and develop Hill & Knowlton's existing owned offices, affiliate relationships and develop the firm's representation, offer and services deeper into Africa. He will continue to report to EMEA Chairman & CEO Andrew Laurence.

Dave Robinson said: "Africa is perhaps the last great emerging market opportunity globally and both our international client base as well as domestic clients in key African markets are seeing strong growth as well as rapid and positive change. Unlike India or China, Africa is hugely diverse and heterogeneous in nature - as much as or more so than Europe for example. Our focus is on building on and further developing our regional strengths within the African continent that both reflect and adapt to that diversity and provide our clients with appropriate resources, insight and expertise. I am delighted to be taking responsibility for driving Hill & Knowlton's expansion into this highly interesting and promising continent."

Andrew Bone, currently Regional Director at Hill & Knowlton Middle East, will also expand his role to formally cover Africa in addition to the Middle East region. He will support Dave Robinson in developing the firm's presence and offer on the continent. His new title will be Regional Director, Middle East & Africa.

In addition to a wholly owned office in Cairo, Egypt, Hill & Knowlton has an extensive network of long-standing associates throughout the continent, covering the Maghreb, Francophone North West Africa, Arab North East Africa, West and Sub-Saharan Africa, East Africa and South Africa.
