GEMS Education appoints new director

Sandhu brings with him vast experience spanning across industries. During his previous association with the Shanghai American School (SAS) he managed China's largest overseas invested educational establishment. Enrollments in SAS increased from 1300 to 2900 students during his tenure and he was also responsible for overseeing the development of state-of-the-art facilities located on two campuses on either sides of Shanghai. Sandhu's all round profile included financial management, government relations and supervision of all operations of the establishment.

GEMS Education has 48 years of heritage in providing education to students from multiple segments of the society. The group enjoys presence in GCC and Middle East, India, Europe and UK. Sandhu has been brought in to drive existing projects and expand the educational base. He will also be responsible for process re - engineering within the GEMS operations.

Before joining SAS, Sandhu handled senior and important roles in various leading hotels in India and Nepal from where he learned the virtues of the business. His caliber and commitment to exceptional service has helped him achieve some of the highest operational positions in the industry in India and China.
