TV shipments to region up 3.68%

Shipments of televisions into the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market in the second quarter of 2008 touched 2.82 million, an increase of 3.68% compared to 2.72 million units in the first quarter of 2008, according to DisplaySearch, a research firm. LG Electronics remained the region's leader for the second consecutive quarter with shipments of 1.04 million units, followed by Samsung with 545,000 units and TCL with 205,000 units.
