"These visits aim to demonstrate the importance of water transport and mass marine transit services to community members. Such services are getting increasingly importance within the water transport set-up. Accordingly it is viewed as a key transport mode to ease traffic jams, and an alternative transport to ensure smooth arrival to all destinations. Moreover, it includes spending a pleasant time on board the Waterbus tourist line across Dubai Creek."
Al Saffar added, "Through the Water Transport Awareness Team at the RTA, Marine Agency is seeking to heighten the awareness of the Waterbus with all community segments of different age groups in the emirate of Dubai and other cities of the UAE. It is high time to familiarize the community with the diverse services of the RTA Marine Agency; which are poised to play an important role in Dubai in the near future; particularly given the existing urban development and marine projects in the emirate such as the Palm islands, The World and other giant projects."
"The visit included different presentations, namely taking the visiting delegation in a tour along the tourist line of the Waterbus across Dubai Creek, demonstrations by employees of the Agency and members of Water Transport Awareness Team for the students of the 2nd Forum.
