- PRESS RELEASE
MEHSSE, SPE's first, most comprehensive conference in the Middle East on health, safety, security, and environment will be held in Doha this October.
The Middle East Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Conference and Exhibition (MEHSSE) takes place 20-22 October at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha, Qatar.
The conference is expecting up to 500 international delegates, making it one of the largest HSSE events in the region. During the 3 days of the event, MEHSSE will host approximately 46 renowned speakers who will present key information on HSSE in 14 sessions and a panel session on the theme "Strengthening Sustainable Practices and Regulations".
"Hosting MEHSSE signifies the importance that the Middle East region has placed on HSSE in the last couple of years. We are confident that the event will help highlight major concerns we have had in the past and provide valuable insights for overcoming them", said Saif Al Naimi, director of HSE regulations and enforcement, Qatar Petroleum.
Sponsored by Boots and Coots, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, Maersk, Qatar Petroleum, RasGas, Shell, StatoilHydro, and Total, MEHSSE offers a unique international platform for major oil producing companies to enter the Middle East market and increase their brand awareness. Moreover, it will assemble VIPs including the oil minister from Qatar and other key influencers in the region.
Major oil and gas organisations such as B-Safe Corporation, Cabot Specialty Fluids, Enterprise Development Network, ESS, ExxonMobil, and Qatar Petroleum are participating in the exhibition that takes place alongside the conference.
"MEHSSE is a major event for experts and professionals to promote their business and services, network, and get introduced to the cutting-edge technologies in HSSE", said Waleed Refaey, managing director of SPE Middle East, North Africa, and India.
Registration is now open for all international and regional HSSE professionals. Those who wish to participate should submit their registration forms before 8 October 2008.
