Barclays to give away BMW X5 in Ramadan promotion

Keeping in line with the Barclaycard tradition of offering more choice, this Ramadan Barclays will be giving away over Dhs1m worth of gifts - including the BMW X5. Entering into the grand raffle draw is easy; anyone who applies for a Barclaycard during the month of Ramadan is immediately in the grand draw. Existing Barclaycard holders simply have to use their card for purchases during Ramadan to enter.

For certain purchase on Barclaycard at partner outlets such as Apparel Group, Home Centre, Hour Choice, Shoe Mart and Paris Gallery, customers could win Dhs500,000 worth of gifts. Barclaycard customers can also avail the '0% Easy Instalment' plan at Joy Alukkas, Home Centre and Jumbo Electronics.

As part of the Ramadan promotion, Barclaycard holders will be eligible to earn guaranteed double Barclaycard reward points on all retail spends during the promotion period.

'We are very excited about this year's Ramadan campaign; it is unlike any seasonal promotion we have done so far in terms of magnitude,'

said Zeeshan Saleem, Head of Cards and Retail Assets for Barclays.

'We wanted to give back to our cardholders during the month of Ramadan. We've also made sure that everyone has exceptional odds of winning; if they don't win in one of the outlet draws, there is always the chance to win the grand prize!'

The grand prize draw winner will be announced and handed the BMW X5 keys on 26 October 2008.
