The conference was attended by Mr. Amer Ahmed, Coca-Cola Communications and Marketing Manager, Mr. Saleh Al Yousef, General Manager of Insan and a crowd of journalists and media people.

In the conference, Coca-Cola revealed that the new campaign will provide a unique opportunity throughout the holy month of Ramadan to those who are fasting the month to contribute in Insan activities, simply by purchasing Coca-Cola soft drink. Mr. Amer Ahmed stated that Coca-Cola will dedicate 10% of Coca-Cola brand sales of MSPET packs (2.25L, 1.75L and 1L) to Insan. The packs will carry Insan logo, and the proceeds of the campaign will be delivered to Insan by the end of the holy month.

"We have carefully designed this campaign to achieve Coca-Cola goals to contribute to the community, and especially to the benefit of orphans, who are the dearest category to us,"

Amer Ahmed said.

"Undoubtedly, Coca-Cola lovers will find this campaign an appropriate opportunity to do charity during Ramadan. I am quite confident that they will react positivity with the campaign, especially which our consumers tend to become strongly generous during the holy month of Ramadan."

On other hand, Mr. Saleh Al Yousef, General Manager of Insan expressed appreciation to Coca-Cola initiative. He said, "Coca-Coca has always been a leader in launching similar campaigns as part of its social responsibility.

This campaign comes in the holy month of Ramadan for the benefit of the orphans as an indication of the company's interest to support this category. We invite other companies to launch similar campaigns, not only in Ramadan, but throughout the years.

We should remember that the doors of Insan are always open. I believe that cooperation with Coca-Cola will reflect positively upon those children. We should always remember that the teachings of our religion have told us to support and care for them."

Insan (Charity Committee for Orphans Care) receives support from individuals and organizations in the society. HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz is a big supporter to the orphans. "Insan will use proceeds of Coca-Cola campaign for the benefit of the orphans. The more sales Coca-Cola generates, the more proceeds the orphans will receive, which means that the fasting people will practically participate in providing care to the orphans," Al Yousef concluded.
