Solomon, who recently led the OBG team in Saudi Arabia as Country Director for two years, will oversee all aspects of OBG's upcoming The Report: Abu Dhabi 2009, which will provide a wide ranging and in depth analysis of the political and business landscape, and is considered the leading publication covering foreign direct investment in the emirate.
Solomon, who also brings with her a wide experience of reporting on international business, said:
"I am delighted to be facing the challenge of expanding our country coverage of Abu Dhabi as the emirate moves into a remarkable time of change and diversification."
She said, "This is a time when major corporations from all over the world are flocking to establish themselves in Abu Dhabi, or are seeking to expand their investments."

Solomon's strong background in international business was honed in economic reporting in conjunction with governments around the world. Later she developed her extensive experience and sector knowledge in the Middle East, where she worked as an emerging markets business commentator for two years.
She joined OBG's Gulf division in 2004 and developed the company's presence in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. During this time, she regularly appeared on regional television and in the print media.
