Samsung SGH-G810 receives prestigious EISA award

The Convergence Panel of EISA said it voted for Samsung's G810 because of the superior image quality.

They added, 'Is it a phone or is it a camera? Only a few years ago the SGH-G810's features would have been unimaginable on anything but a high-spec camera.' In addition to the technical capabilities, the judges also commented that, 'Best of all, it manages to look, at once, both elegant and robust.'

Mr. Sandeep Saihgal, general manager of mobile phones at Samsung Gulf Electronics, was delighted to receive this award from EISA, an opinion leader in the European imaging and multimedia industry. 'This is important recognition of the progress that we have made in the multimedia phones that have become very popular with European consumers,' Mr. Saihgal added.

'With the SGH-G810, Samsung will continue to deliver the best possible multimedia features in the most attractive design to satisfy mobile phone users in Europe.'

The Samsung G810 offers 5 mega pixel camera equipped with 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom and Xenon flash. Moreover, the G810 boasts its advanced photo quality with the latest digital camera features including face detection, image stabilizer, high ISO (up to 800), macro shot, panorama shot and mosaic & multi shot.

Supporting Symbian v9.2 S60 3rd edition, the G810 also includes WiFi connectivity for seamless communication and GPS with geo-tagging to satisfy mobile phone users.

The G810 has been launched in Europe and Middle East Asia from April 2008.
