GCC oil to reach 10m bpd - study

The $300bn investment underway in oil production in the GCC will deliver an estimated 10m barrels of crude a day in added capacity by 2015, according to project research firm Proleads. The firm has also revealed that within the GCC countries, approved upstream oil projects designed to either maintain or increase production capacity have soared in value from below $1.5bn in 2006 to a 2008 peak of $30bn.
