The drive is being rolled at the Cityscape USA Conference and Exhibition which runs from September 9-12 and coincides with increasing cultural, educational and air links between Abu Dhabi and New York.

"With the US community already aware of plans for the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum and the NY University campus on Saadiyat Island, of Etihad's flights to JFK and Abu Dhabi's recent majority holding purchase of New York's Chrysler Building, there is a considerable appetite for more knowledge of the UAE capital and its offering. The time is right for TDIC to expand its investor relations and to ensure our rapidly growing development portfolio and the compelling opportunities it offers is at the forefront of institutional planning,"

said Lee Tabler, CEO, TDIC.

TDIC says pre-event canvassing among the international investment community generated positive leads with its company representatives securing a number of face-to-face meetings with prominent institutional investors.

"The task is to translate this interest into tangible results and to develop a dialogue which we can foster," added Tabler.

TDIC is creating Abu Dhabi's flagship development, Saadiyat Island, which epitomises the emirate's focus on culture and arts, sports & leisure, natural environment and the emirate's heritage. The destination will also be home to the world's largest single concentration of premier cultural institutions, including the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Museum.

TDIC, which was launched less than three years ago, is currently planning, or progressing, no less than 80 projects throughout Abu Dhabi emirate.
