Energy drink licence required in Qatar

Qatar's National Health Authority has issued a new rule requiring distributors to obtain a licence to import energy drinks into the country, Gulf Times has reported. The new regulation - which is expected to be introduced by early 2009 - is the first of its kind in the world, according to Dr Mohamed Saif al-Kuwari, head of the Qatar Metrology and Specifications Authority (QMSA).
