Infocomm Development Authority leads showcase of Singapore's ICT capabilities at Gitex

The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) will be leading a delegation of Singapore infocomm companies to Gitex Technology Week 2008, scheduled to take place from 19 to 23 October 2008 in Dubai.

Exhibiting under the Infocomm Singapore brand, the delegation comprises Clearhub, CrimsonLogic, e-Cop, Genovate, Infologic, MicroUsability, SecureAge Technology, SQL View, ST Electronic (Training & Simulation Systems), Teliwave and Transfer ToTM.

Building on their experience and expertise from developing and implementing ICT solutions for Singapore's key economic sectors, these Infocomm Singapore companies will showcase their latest innovative offerings for sectors such as education, transportation and e-Government.

Some of these showcases include ST Electronics (Training & Simulation Systems)'s upcoming School of the Future initiative in Singapore, the Infologic FIDS (Flight Information Display System) that was most recently implemented at the Beijing Capital International Airport for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, CrimsonLogic's e-Judiciary solution that is currently being implemented in UAE, and many more.

"Middle East is one of the fastest growing ICT markets in the world. Over the last few years Infocomm Singapore companies have successfully exported their solutions and services to the region and several major projects. IDA hopes to leverage this year's GITEX to further extend the reach of Infocomm Singapore companies in the region," said Mr Shaik Umar, Centre Director for IDA's Middle East Office.

Alongside Gitex, IDA will also be hosting an Infocomm Singapore Night on 20 October for invited guests from Singapore and Middle East to network and exchange pointers. This is the fourth year that IDA is participating in Gitex Technology Week. It underscores IDA's commitment to help facilitate collaboration and exchanges
between Singapore and Middle East ICT businesses.
