The first product of SILEXA GreenTec "to market" is TWISTER™, a patented water reduction item, which saves up to 68% of water consumption at water taps and showers.
In opposite to all known usual flow reducers, the technical aspects are much more sophisticated:
"TWISTER is not just a simple water restrictor like many other products in the market, which are of course reducing the liters per time unit, but also the convenience feeling of the user. Less water is also recognized as 'more poor' flow." explains Norbert Schaefers, Department Director of SILEXA GreenTec and SILEXA BarControls, "TWISTER constantly enriches the flowing water with atmosphere oxygen, which increases the physical volume of water tremendously. The user recognition is a similar water volume, but much more soft and convenient."
Already in August and September installed pilots in various Dubai 5 Star Hotels gave a very positive feedback from the hotel managers. In a single shower the water consumption could be reduced from 25 liters down to 8 liters per minute! Calculated on an entire hotel operation, e.g. with 250 occupied rooms, only via the showers a daily amount between 42,500 and 212,250 liters could be saved - day by day.
Apart from being blamed that resource usage in Middle East Hotels is factor 5 to 8 more than in comparable European hotels and resorts, the increase of utility cost in Dubai is leading to a new, more 'green' thinking among UAE's hotel operators.
"Using TWISTER brings our - mostly corporate - customers two advantages at the same time: Tremendous reduction of utility cost and increase in public image for 'going green', this without any comfort reduction for the customers and users of our clients,"
adds Martin Kraeter, GM of SILEXA.
Price wise, TWISTER is also developed and configured to meet the regional specific short-termed demands in ROI: The cost cut of utility supply leads to a pay back of the equipment investment within 6 to 12 months.
Norbert Schaefers: "SILEXA GreenTec has got already several other thrilling products in the evaluation pipe, which will be introduced to the market soon after our internal statement of feasibility."
