Godfrey's practice focuses on project finance transactions, with strong expertise in the energy, transport, infrastructure and communications sectors.

He has also advised lenders and borrowers on a large number of commercial property developments.

Godfrey's clients include project sponsors and lenders, public-private partnerships, sovereign wealth funds and government agencies on intra-region Middle East deals and financings in Europe.

Godfrey joins Latham & Watkins from Allen & Overy, where he practiced in the firm's Dubai, Abu Dhabi and London offices.

Godfrey graduated with honors from the University of Bristol in 1996 and he attended the Guildford College of Law.
