"I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the launch of this site than to do something good for children who need help,"
said the site's founder Susan Macaulay.
"People throughout the Middle East and the world will get to know about the new online community, people who post tributes will feel good about saying nice things about the special women in their lives, the women who get the tributes will feel appreciated, and in the process we'll all help sick children in need get the help they deserve. It's a win/win/win situation," she added.
Nadia Wehbe, Dubai spokesperson for PCRF, and one of the first women to be profiled on Amazingwomenrock.com website said:
"The money will go to a really good cause. PCRF sponsors surgery, as well as help for all kinds of diseases and medical problems. Children with diabetes, for example, who need medicine, but their families can't afford it, or children who have epilepsy, or who need blood transfusions. Everything we do is privately funded, so every little bit counts."
Anyone, regardless of gender, age, race, religion or location is invited to register on Amazingwomenrock.com website and post tributes to help raise money for PCRF.
