The new services have been active since September 1, 2008, and are part of info2cell.com's strategy to constantly deliver fresh and innovative services in the Middle East and Africa, a multi-billion dollar market that is expected to touch $107bn by 2013 on the strength of growing demand for various mobile content services.

The new services provide info2cell.com clients a select line of Islamic services appropriate for the Ramadan celebration utilising different platforms such as SMS, MMS, IVR, J2ME application, interactive channel and WAP.

There will also be a special SMS competition that offers attractive daily prizes as well as a grand prize during the culmination of Ramadan.

The new services are now available in several countries, including Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, Palestine, Bahrain and Syria.

'Info2cell.com is pleased to unveil another unique line of services specially developed to commemorate the observance of the holy month of Ramadan. It is our mission to constantly provide clients with value-added and appropriate services that cater to various requirements of the society. We hope that our clients will have a more meaningful celebration of the holy season through a wide selection of Ramadan-themed services,'

said Bashar Dahabra, Founder and CEO of info2cell.com.

Infor2cell.com's Ramadaniat service allows customers to download weekly Islamic packages, Islamic themes, wallpapers and Islamic ring tones.

The Islamiat: J2ME Application is an end-to-end solution that utilises J2ME technology to provide a wide range of value-added services.

The Islamic IVR or interactive voice response service allows users to forward dedicated Islamic content to other users or download the content themselves using their mobiles.

The service includes cuts by top Islamic performers and is available in different categories such as Anthems, Prophet Sayings, Names of Allah, Supplications, Prayers, Quranic Verses and other Islamic literature.

The SMS and MMS services include Mawadah SMS, Ishrakah SMS, Kalema w Manah SMS, Tarikh Al Islam SMS, Munajat SMS, Ramadan Panorama SMS, Ramadan around the World MMS, Hakawati MMS, Shahr Al Qura'an MMS, Bashae'r MMS and Fwanis Ramadan MMS.

Info2cell.com has also launched an interactive channel wherein users can share their opinion on various topics within interest groups, while info2cell.com's Ramadan competition is an Arabic SMS contest that offers exciting daily prizes from September 1 to October 1, 2008.

'Our efforts reflect our commitment to be a leader in this high-growth category, which, according to a recent study, will be the key driver in the continued growth of the mobile phone and data industry. Market intelligence firm Juniper Research has revealed that the industry is expected to reach $107bn by 2013, a remarkable growth that will be fuelled by the emergence of new and innovative data services, rather than increasing subscription rates. This clearly shows the economic strength of the mobile phone sector and how innovation in content and data services will sustain the continued growth of this multi-billion dollar industry,' concluded Dahabra.

Info2cell.com has been a leading provider of mobile applications and content in the highly competitive Middle East and North African markets.

The content provider offers advanced mobile messaging technology to deliver SMS, MMS, WAP, IVR, video, ring-tones, picture messaging, animations and Java games to mobile devices.
