In its pursuit to be an innovator across all areas, ADIB has created an integrated 'Ramadan Wishes' campaign designed to spread Holy Month goodwill to all the community via the internet and TV. The bank has created a special website (www.omniyatramadan.ae) through which internet users can send one of 30 e-greetings, comprising a Ramadan Wish and a Hadith, to their family and friends. 30 lucky users of the website, which is open to ADIB customers and non-customers, will win an Umrah trip for themselves and a loved one. In addition, ADIB will highlight its chosen daily wish every night on Abu Dhabi TV, Sama TV and Sharjah TV prior & after Iftar.

Reaffirming its position as one of the leading Islamic banks of the region, ADIB will help welcome tens of thousands of travellers to the UAE at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Ramadan is an extremely busy time at the airport with over 300,000 passengers expected to arrive in Holy Month, and ADIB representatives will be on hand to greet both returning residents and international tourists with Arabian coffee, dates and traditional sweets between Iftar and 11pm each day.

Now in its fourth year, ADIB has reconfirmed its partnership with the UAE Red Crescent (UAERC) for the charity's annual Ramadan campaign, providing 160,000 Iftar meals for needy people at multiple locations over the country.

ADIB has also announced that it will waive its monthly murabaha installment on its Covered Cards successfully applied for during Ramadan until the end of the year. (After making the set up between the installment sum and the profit entailed from the investment account of the covered card) This goodwill gesture will help the bank's customers to reduce their expenses during this year's Holy Month and for a further three months afterwards. The Covered Cards, which were the first Islamic finance product of their kind, remain a popular product with customers looking for flexibility and transparency with their banking services.

The Month of Giving would not be complete without a prize draw for customers - but this year's is different. Reflecting the unique benefits that customers experience with ADIB's products and services, the theme this Ramadan is 'experience' and prizes on offer include a sought-after BMW X6 and two return flights on luxurious Royal Jet, both in the draw at the end of the month. The weekly draws include Iftars at the Emirates Palace and Burj Al Arab, and a number of activities and day-trips in the UAE. Entry to the draw is available to new and existing Covered Card holders, as well as customers successfully applying for other specified ADIB banking services during Ramadan.

Internally, ADIB management will host several corporate Iftars designed to bring together the 1500-strong workforce across the UAE during Holy Month. The bank has also sent 20 staff to Mecca to perform Umrah this month at its own expense.

Tirad Mahmoud, CEO of ADIB, comments:
"As one of the region's leading Islamic banks, ADIB is well placed to support the celebrations during Holy Month and this year we have designed an innovative programme which reaches across our customers, our staff and all UAE residents, whether UAE National or expatriate."

"An organization's responsibility towards the community in which it operates should not focus on Ramadan only however. At ADIB, we take this corporate responsibility seriously, whether it is our year-round involvement with a range of social initiatives or towards our customers on a one-to-one basis with their banking arrangements. I would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to our customers across the UAE and to wish everyone Ramadan Kareem."
