The labourers who gathered at the work sites of Al Hamra'a Contracting in Ras al Khaimah in the presence of Watani representatives, officials, volunteers and other participants, enjoyed traditional Emirati dishes, and experienced the UAE customs and traditions during the blessed season.
Another Iftar, for 500 students from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi, will follow on the 13th day of Ramadan and the last of the series will be organized for orphans in Dubai during the last 10 days of Ramadan.
Commenting on the Iftar programme, Ahmad Obaid Al Mansoori, Watani's Director General, said:
'For the third consecutive year, and in keeping with our Emirati traditions to break fast with the family, friends and neighbours, it is our pleasure to meet with the labourers who are leaving each a special fingerprint. This is a token of our appreciation and one of our various initiatives that aim to bring the UAE nationals and residents closer together in line with the true spirit of Ramadan.'
