GCC to decide forex union location

Central bank governors and finance ministers from Saudi Arabia, including four of its neighbours are set to finalise a monetary union deal and decide the location of the Gulf central bank at their meeting set on September 17 in the Saudi Red Sea in Jeddah, Reuters has reported. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries face only 15 months to meet its self-imposed 2010 deadline to issue a common currency.
