For markets in the UAE and GCC, Bushager-Enigma LLC, a new joint venture between Bushager Ready Mix, one of the leading players in the Dubai construction industry and Enigma will be present for the first time at Gitex.

Ian Keam-George, Chief Executive of Enigma Vehicle Systems, said:
"Last year the Gitex exhibition exceeded all our expectations, particularly as we were exhibiting for the first time. With our new joint venture with Bushager, we are in a very strong position to meet the outstanding opportunities offered by the Middle East region."

Mr Ali Abdullah, Managing Director of Bushager Ready Mix and Bushager-Enigma LLC, said:
"After several years looking for the right technology to automate fleet management I selected Skyline due to its advanced features, flexibility and price. It has exceeded my expectations to the point that we have formed a joint venture with Enigma to serve the UAE and GCC markets. Since this joint venture opened for business, I'm delighted to say the response we have received has confirmed that other users in the UAE share my enthusiasm for Skyline."

Enigma Vehicle Systems is a global specialist in security, telematics, safety and fleet management systems for the commercial vehicle and construction equipment markets worldwide. Gitex will see the first appearance of the new SK130 compact vehicle/plant tracker and the new Skyline SK140 personal tracker from Enigma. The show will also be the platform for the launch of the company's new e-pass (passenger ID system), e-counter (bus passenger counting product) and e-driver (driver ID system).

These products have resulted from the heavy investment Enigma has made in developing advanced technologies such as satellite communications, active and passive RFID tagging, personal/portable tracking and improved data analysis modules to provide greater control and information over remote assets. The new e-pass and e-driver systems, for example, both use passive RFID technology to track vehicle users and bus passengers.

The new generation Skyline GPS tracking, security and telematics system, offers faster response, better functionality and enhanced flexibility through increased data analysis features. The universal design of the system now allows it to be used simultaneously by customers in the Middle East, Africa and the Near East and those in other world markets (including Europe, Latin America and the Far East).

As an advanced tracking and security system, Skyline provides even more information for detailed, relevant and user friendly reports on plant status on a 24/7 basis. As the new version of Skyline is fully Web-based, this allows the customer to access their account from any computer, PDA, Blackberry or mobile phone with internet access. This requires no special tools, only industry-standard browsers, so there is no need to install additional software on the customer's devices.

Being totally web-based, the software update in Skyline has been seamless and now involves fully integrated Google road, satellite and hybrid maps. The new system offers a configurable login, with the user able to customise Client settings, Driver settings, Vehicle settings, User settings and Vehicle icons. The user can also set Geo-zones/points of interest and arrange for text/email alerts and automated email reports to be sent to them. The user can change their own password for security purposes and the increased functionality offers a route replay function and allows the user to input custom points and integrate them in reports. Each vehicle or piece of plant remains in contact with the server 24/7 so status is available to Enigma users at all times; additionally they can request positions, add zones around equipment and vehicles (for additional theft protection) and monitor hours used (per rental or accumulatively).

The Skyline system will report vehicle movements (authorised or unauthorised), tamper, ignition state and a host of other data via eight input/output ports that can be used for monitoring additional sensors. These may be fuel level, battery level, coolant, engine running/not running, engine covers open/closed and so on. Each system can be customised to provide the security and telemetry data required by both the customer and user.

Other options available on the Skyline system are:
• Optional keypad immobiliser with remote immobilisation feature.
• Text polling from mobile phone.
• PDA access with street level images.
• Driver identification option using electronic tags (RFID).
• Lone Worker Protection.
• Portable, personal tracking with voice capability.

The Skyline system can be used on any vehicle and all types of site equipment from excavators, compressors and dumpers to generators, forklift trucks, traffic light sets and powered access platforms. The major target markets for Enigma include: Plant Hire; Contractor Fleets; Commercial Vehicle Fleets; Building Supplies; Waste Management and Service Engineering. Special solutions have also been developed for the bus and worker transport market as well as the ready mixed concrete industry.
