Under the agreement, CGC will supply, install, test, commission and maintain the CAMS Application interfacing with MiniBold Web-base Software & Honeywell DAR Receiver for the MoI. CGC will also be the authorized service provider.
On the occasion, Brig (Engr.) Ali Salem Al Henzab outlined the importance of the project.
He said, the CAMS project is a big step to provide full-proof security to the people of Qatar and improve law and order technologically. With the CAMS system in place, MoI will be in a better position to respond immediately to various government departments, residents, offices, multi-story apartments, hotels, banks, etc. in case of any emergency situation. An auto alarm will instantly terminate at the MoI control room with details of the incident location. The incident location and its access route will be displayed on the GIS map, which will allow MoI to immediately dispatch PCR van or fire brigade vehicle to the concerned site. Gradually, this service will be made available to all subscribers across the country at a nominal annual subscription charges, he added.
Mahajan thanked the MoI for awarding CGC the strategic project. He said:
"It is our privilege to contribute to the country's security system. As a total technology provider, we will ensure that the system makes a lasting impact ensuring people a very safe and secure living. CGC has tied up with some leading technology world leaders to establish the CAMS system at the MoI and will deploy a technical and managerial team to implement and manage the system to meet MoI requirements."
