The scheme also aims to fill some of the skills shortages being experienced in the technology sector by providing qualified, highly skilled sales people.
HP will provide local funding for the recruitment of sales managers, salary payments, regular performance reviews and necessary support where needed.
As part of the training, the sales managers will also attend a HP Sales Academy twice a year to increase sales skills and knowledge.
Bernhard Isemann, SPO Manager, HP Middle East, commented:
"We are extremely proud that the successful trial took part in the Middle East, and look forward to many of our retailers benefiting from this exciting initiative. It's our aim to help our partners increase profitability, sales skills and business growth."
Gigi George, Business Unit Head of Value Enterprise Computing Systems, Alpha Data, said: "The initiative has improved our open space by up to 50% and helped us have a more focused approach in the market place. We have received a great amount of support from HP which has provided us with the opportunity to improve our skills sets including sales and customer relations."
The scheme has been piloted with 25 people in the Middle East over the past twelve months and due to its success, HP plans to expand the programme geographically and the number of recruits across the region.
