ADNEC will represent Abu Dhabi as a world-class meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) hub by highlighting the ongoing developments at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and the surrounding Dhs8bn Capital Centre. This promotion is part of an extensive campaign to promote the emirate as a top leisure and business destination.

Simon Horgan, CEO of ADNEC, commented:
"International MICE exhibitions are important for ADNEC as they provide opportunities to exchange information and build relationships with key industry professionals and create regional awareness amongst consumers. These trade and consumer relationships provide a platform for industrial growth, business tourism and new investments within the emirate, strengthening our position as one of the world's leading event destinations."

"We have added JATA Tokyo to our global promotional tour as it gives us the perfect opportunity to promote Abu Dhabi to what is likely to become an increasingly important market for ADNEC." concluded Mr Horgan.

JATA World Travel Fair held at Tokyo Big Sight exhibition centre, from Friday the 19th until Sunday the 21st of September 2008, will showcase 134 countries and regions, which will serve to stimulate Japanese travel demand and launch new travel trends.

In addition to JATA, ADNEC will be continuing its world promotional tour at other high-profile events, targeting both the leisure and business tourism sectors, and the global MICE industry. These include, ITB Asia in Singapore, WTM in London, EIBTM in Barcelona and Cityscape India in Mumbai.
