USAID Jordan Economic Development Program (SABEQ) through its Institutional Transformation component offers technical assistance to Business Associations in various topics throughout the year. The enhancement of managerial and leadership capabilities of Business Associations' CEOs was initiated to levitate the organization's performance, apply updated managerial best practices, have an ideal utilization of available resources, enhance and induce the strategic thinking within the organization, work on the institutionalization of procedures, and eventually enable the associations to assume their role as representatives of their business sectors and become a key player in the upgrading of those sectors.
Dana Shuqom, the CEO of Business and Professional Women - Amman, stated:
'The CM workshop was an excellent opportunity to polish our knowledge in management, and learn more about the latest global trends in this area. Moreover, by bringing together the associations' managers during this training allowed us to share our knowledge and experiences.'
Sahar Yousef, Institutional Transformation Component Leader at USAID Jordan Economic Development Program (SABEQ), said:
'The CM Program provides, assesses, and documents the skills and knowledge that people need to lead and manage others effectively.'
'It is a comprehensive program including training, study manuals and examination which focuses on the application of practical skills and techniques and on analysis and decision-making skills, rather than the memorization of rote knowledge and theories,' she added.
