The students, who are daughters and sons of Batelco Trade Union members, were presented with Certificates and shopping vouchers, at a special event held at Batelco Staff Centre recently.

"Every year we reward our staffs' children who have excelled in their studies during the year," said Batelco Group Board Secretary and Company Spokesman Ahmed Al Janahi.

"We are delighted to reward them with a special party, certificates and shopping vouchers to recognise their hard work and to encourage them to continue with their academic efforts."

Batelco Chief Executive Peter Kaliaropoulos congratulated the group of students and thanked their parents for encouraging them and providing all the necessary facilities for their daughters and sons to succeed.

Mr. Kaliaropoulos also thanked all the volunteers for contributing to the success of this wonderful event, and expressed his gratitude to the BTU board for taking the initiative in making this event a reality every year.

"This is the sixth student award ceremony. The aim behind it is to reward the BTU members' daughters and sons for their outstanding academic performance and encourage them to continue to excel," said the newly appointed BTU Chairman S. Hadi Almosawi.

The certificates were presented by Mr. Kaliaropoulos, Corporate Affairs General Manager Nadia Hussain, Mr. Almosawi, ex-chairman Maki Abbas, General Federation for Bahrain Trade Unions' President S. Salman Mahfood and other Trade Union members.
