Eid District in Dubai Festival City readies to welcome visitors during 'Eid in Dubai'

When the inaugural edition of 'Eid in Dubai' gets underway, the Eid District in Dubai Festival City, a key sponsor of the event, will be one among the main venues of the new government initiative.

The venue will feature family oriented cultural events and programmes that cater to visitors of all ages.

Yousif Mubarak, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Shopping Festival Office said:
"The Eid District is designed to accommodate indoor and outdoor activities at Dubai Festival City and the venue will focus on five entertainment segments - the Fun Fair, Heritage Zone, Fireworks, Solo Musicians, and Middle East Music Bands, in addition to a joint Indo-Pak concert on the final day of the event."


The three-hour concert is slated to feature renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam and Indian heartthrob Shaan.

Tom Miles, Senior General Manager - Retail, Dubai Festival City, said, "The Eid District will enhance the festive atmosphere created by 'Eid in Dubai' and as one among the key sponsors of the event, this is very much in line with what Dubai Festival City espouses - providing an environment that is synonymous with the spirit of Eid-Al-Fitr and its characteristics of celebration."

Fun Fair


The Fun Fair will be the ultimate play area for families and children. Featuring numerous electronic games, rides, and popular redemption games, entry fee into the venue will be nominal.

Heritage Zone


Specially organized to present traditional events held during Eid, the Heritage Zone will incorporate all the elements of a traditional Eid celebration through exhibits, cuisine, and music. A horse-riding area will also add to the excitement of the zone.

Fireworks


Dubai's residents and visitors will have yet another opportunity to see dazzling fireworks during Eid in Dubai with the Dubai Festival City waterfront providing for a picturesque background for 25 minutes of spectacular non-stop fireworks.

Solo Musicians


Spread around Dubai Festival City, solo musicians will play a variety of music from numerous countries to emphasize on the cultural diversity of 'Eid in Dubai'.

Middle East Music Bands


Lending a Middle Eastern touch to the festivities, the Middle East Music Bands will have musicians from all across the region play music of specific countries and regions. The groups will also perform special Eid music for visitors to Dubai Festival City.

'Eid in Dubai', a Dubai government initiative launched by DSF Office, will be held for the first time this year. During the upcoming Eid-Al-Fitr, visitors and residents in Dubai will be treated to a one-of-a-kind Eid experience through cultural and entertainment programmes.
