Rasmala appoints deputy CEO

Rasmala, a leading regional investment banking firm, announced the appointment of Mr. Tamer Bazzari as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Previously Head of Investment Banking, Mr Bazzari will support company founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr Ali Al-Shihabi in driving Rasmala's regional and strategic growth.

Mr. Ali Al-Shihabi, founder and CEO, said:

"As a senior partner, Tamer has played a fundamental role in the development and growth of Rasmala. He is very well positioned to take on this leadership role."


Prior to his role as Head of Investment Banking, Mr. Bazzari was the Chief Financial Officer at Rasmala. He joined the company in 2002 from the Dubai Financial Market where he was the Senior Advisor to the Director General.

Commenting on his new appointment, Mr Bazzari said "Rasmala's development is something I have been incredibly proud to be part of. Its regional footprint combined with the strength of its management team positions it strongly for growth and I look forward to working closely with Mr Al-Shihabi in driving the business forward."

Mr. Bazzari holds a BA degree from McGill University and a Masters degree from Concordia University, Canada. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
