Dr. Al Thawadi led the guests on a guided tour of the $1m Centre to allow them experience first hand how Batelco's Network Operations team are leveraging leading edge technology and processes to offer superior world class service to residents of Bahrain.

The NOC is a state-of-the-art centre of excellence, where the Batelco core network - both the physical network and its associated infrastructure - is managed, controlled and monitored, and where any related faults can be isolated. Professional specialised engineers staff the centre round the clock to minimise any disruption to service by taking on the spot corrective action.

Batelco regularly welcomes lecturers, students and interested parties to visit the NOC as part of their commitment to participate in community programmes.

"Such tours provide overall knowledge of the advanced telecom technologies that Batelco is currently utilising and provides students and their teachers with the opportunity to gain an insight into Batelco's intelligent Networks Technologies, which supports their area of study,"

said Dr. Al Thawadi.
