"Earlier, when heavy equipment needed to be serviced or repaired, clients would have to pay the cost of sending it to our after sales workshop, and it would also result in considerable downtime for them,"
explained Mr. Philippe Kamel, Marketing Manager for Mannai.
"Now all they have to do is give us a call, and we'll dispatch our 'Workshop on Wheels' to attend to their equipment onsite," Kamel added.
The 'Workshop on Wheels' initiative has greatly improved Mannai HED's after sales service efficiency, and is proving particularly cost-effective for clients based outside of Doha. "The heavy equipment market is growing rapidly in Qatar, and we're doing everything in our power to provide the best, most hassle free service we can to clients," explained Mr. Kamel. Apart from preventative maintenance, lubrication servicing and component repairs, the vans will also be equipped with advanced tools like an air compressor and a compact workshop to handle unscheduled emergency equipment breakdowns. Power will be supplied by an onboard generator.
Currently outfitted to service JCB and Grove heavy equipment units, the fleet could be expanded in the future to deal with equipment from other manufacturers. Meanwhile, 'Workshop on Wheels' remains the fastest, most cost effective way of dealing with heavy equipment servicing and breakdown in Qatar.
