Dubai Customs receives a delegation from the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman

Dubai Customs received a delegation representing the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, to learn about risk management methodology and system followed by Dubai Customs and to be introduced to the latest applications thereof.

The delegation has expressed its interest in benefiting from Dubai Customs extensive experience in the domain being the forerunner at government departments' level to establish a department since 3 years ago to encounter potential risks.

During their visit The delegation was introduced to the systems and tools being adopted by Dubai Customs in the area of risk management, related to determining and assessing the risk factors that may impede the organizational strategic objectives and develop an integrated policy on how to handle such risks whenever arise.

The plan incorporates activities, responsibilities, timeframes and the necessary resources for implementation.

They also discussed the issue of emergency management, and its role of ensuring business continuity and minimizing any resulting effects thereof.

Dubai Customs would be prepared to cooperate with any agency wishes to benefit from the customs experience in the area of risk management.

This is due to its belief in the necessity of disseminating awareness and knowledge of the importance of dealing with risks that may encounter any organization, minimizing their impacts and manage them efficiently.

This would of course positively be reflected on its performance and ability to achieve its objectives", he affirmed.

The delegation thanked Dubai Customs for their warm welcome and productive meeting.

The two parties then exchanged memorial shields and agreed to continue consultation and coordination based on the principle of cooperation and common interest.
