This initiative goes hand in hand with Her Majesty's objective of a school environment that encourages learning and provides incentives for students to actively participate in the educational process.
The inauguration of the newly renovated school, which ADC has sponsored since last year, was under the patronage of ASEZA's Chief Commissioner Hosni Abu Ghaida. ADC completely renovated the 2nd and 3rd floors of the school that included painting, lights, fans, windows, doors and desks among many other transformations.
ADC also prepared packages of educational materials and programs for the school to improve the academic level that goes hand-in-hand with the remarkable developments Aqaba is witnessing. Furthermore, ASEZA developed programs to involve parents and the local community.
ADC's CEO, Eng Imad Fakhoury said that this initiative builds on Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah's visit to the Old Town and Abu Ayoub Al Ansari School. He added that ADC makes every effort to continuously develop the school's infrastructure and provide students and teachers with a healthy educational environment.
ADC involved the students in the maintenance procedures so they understand the importance of maintaining the revamped school throughout the year. Through this initiative, ADC encourages students to perform vocational activities and take advantage of their free time during the summer holiday, as well as encourages them to consider vocational careers and provides them with the necessary skills.
ADC has completely revamped the 1st floor of Abu Ayoub Al Ansari School including the library and faculty room in addition to establishing a vocational center equipped with advanced technology. öADC announced the adoption of the school last year.
ADC's efforts come as part of the company's social responsibility towards its local community and its plans to support developmental efforts in the Zone. ADC funds a large number of developmental initiatives and focuses on a few key areas to achieve sustainable development, which include human resources, capacity building, funding projects that improve the social and economic infrastructure in Aqaba in cooperation with the civil society, as well as providing basic services to ensure that underprivileged areas are regularly developed and enhanced.
