Providing work experience opportunities is part of Batelco's social obligation to the community. Annually, throughout the summer months, students who are selected in collaboration with some of the Kingdom's universities and institutes, gain valuable experience at Batelco through participation in a variety of tasks assigned to them based on their level of qualification and area of study.

This summer, 33 students were selected from the University of Bahrain, 24 from Bahrain Training Institute, 8 from Ministry of Education, 2 from other local universities and 3 who are studying overseas. This programme offers the students the opportunity to work as industrial trainees while fulfilling academic requirements towards their graduation.

In addition, a batch of students from the Ministry of Education is currently receiving practical training at Batelco. They will complete 4 weeks of training before their graduation.

"It is important for local corporations to provide opportunities for fresh leadership talent, particularly as the Kingdom is making great strides in retaining its place as a leading player in the world economy,"

said Batelco Group General Manager Human Resources, Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa.

"Enhancing the education of the Kingdom's future industry leaders forms an important part of Batelco's annual financial commitment."

Since January this year, 101 students have availed of industrial training at Batelco.
