i2 launches Ramadan charity campaign in cooperation with UNCIEF

i2, a large mobile phone provider in the Middle East and Africa, launched a special Ramadan regional campaign in cooperation with the United Nations children's fund (UNCIEF).

The campaign's principle is to donate a dollar each time a mobile phone is sold, and the profits of this campaign to be allocated to the poor families through the UNCIEF fund.

This year, the campaign will last over a period of six months and will include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia and Sudan. The aim of this campaign is to collect donations for the UNCIEF fund which provides help for poor families in the Middle East and Africa.

"We are proud to partner with the UNCIEF to launch this campaign for the second year in a row. i2 aims to support the UNCIEF fund which works tirelessly to help and assist children around the world, where we realized from the beginning that our active participation in every positive social activity represents one of our major aims,"

Mr. Qais Abu khader the Marketing Manager of i2 Jordan said.

This initiative comes after the success that the campaign achieved last year when it collected $100.000, where the organizer of this campaign hope to collect a larger amount than what was collected last year.

This initiative comes as a true reflection and in harmony with the company's strategy which puts the social responsibility at the top of its priorities, and gives the society's needs in general and children's especially a special attention.

i2 was established in 1993 under the name of Itisalat, and became under the name of i2 for 3 years now and the company keens on frequent communication with the clients through i2's Channel, Magazine and Café.
