World leaders to discuss major crises on Frost Over the World

Al Jazeera English announces the return of Frost Over the World to the channel following its summer break with guests including Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia, Ban Ki Moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations, General Martin Luther Agwai the current commander of the combined United Nations-African Union peacekeeping force in Darfur, and the rock star Brian Adams.

The channel's flagship current affairs programme airs every Friday at 1900 GMT from London.

Covering conflicts and crises on all corners of the world, Sir David Frost will bring Al Jazeera English's viewers around the world the perspectives, insights and opinions of the leaders who's decisions influence the course of history. The programme's inaugural broadcast in 2006 drew significant media attention when the previous Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair stated that the war on Iraq had been "somewhat of a disaster". Sir David Frost was one of the last people to interview Benazir Bhutto as part of the programme and has run specials on Pakistan, Sudan and Israel.

Frost over the World is split into four sections and every week it features an interview with a leading world statesperson, discussions with specialists on news events, interviews with leading members of the arts and entertainment community and 4-way news round up with journalists and commentators around the world.

Frost Over the World will air on Friday 19th September at 1900 GMT. Al Jazeera English now broadcasts to over 120m households worldwide.
