Ibrahim Saleh, Coordinator General of Dubai Shopping Festival Office, hailed the response of the department and their efforts to contribute to the festive spirit of Eid through a range of activities that reach out to people and also cover clinics and hospitals across the emirate.
Eid Tent at Dubai Cultural and Scientific Association (Mamzar):
Focused on presenting traditional events to visitors, activities at the Eid Tent include displays of traditional dance forms such as youla and ayyala, in addition to puppet shows for children. Health workshops will be held for visitors and volunteers will also distribute dates to all those visiting the tent.
Hospitals:
As part of spreading the festive spirit of Eid across hospitals in Dubai, DOHMS has planned to decorate hospitals to reflect the festive season of Eid while also arranging to distribute special Eid gifts to new born babies and their mothers. Several activities have also been planned for patients in the hospital.
Dubai Centre for Ambulance Services:
The Dubai Centre for Ambulance Services will play its part during Eid by hosting heritage quiz competitions, workshops, and puppet shows for children. A special event will be an auction to raise money for children afflicted with cancer.
