"For its
fourth cycle, the MRM Business Award expands its scope by adding on the two new categories and, mind you, this is not being done to increase the numbers but to acknowledge the contribution of the Supply Chain & Logistics sector to the economic development of the UAE. Last year we included the Real Estate Development category and may be next year we will focus on some other sectors that ought to be rewarded.
Mr Atiq Juma clarified the category by stating that for the purpose of this award, Supply Chain Management and Logistics refers to the planning, controlling and executing efficient and effective forward and reverse flow of storage of goods, services and related information apart from flow of funds between the Point of Origin and the Point of Consumption in order to meet customers' requirements.
