According to Maitha Al-Shamsi, Managing Director of DWE:
"The First Arab Women Leadership Forum is the first in a series of annual leadership international forums which will be organized by Dubai Women Establishment under their mandate to enhance the contribution of working women in the economic and social development of the UAE. It also pursues a holistic objective of DWE to ensure Emirati women play a key role not only on the local arena but also throughout the Gulf region."
Therefore, DWE annual forum is an opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of outstanding individuals and organizations that have contributed to advancing women's leadership worldwide.
Al-Shamsi stated that "Having the Dubai School of Government as our knowledge partner is a vital factor for the success of this pioneering conference on women's leadership, as we believe that the experience and expertise of the School, especially their Gender and Public Policy Program, will give us the opportunity to learn from leading women who are paving our road to success."
Dr. May Al Dabbagh, Director of the Gender and Public Policy Program at DSG, commented on the relationship between the two institutions by saying:
