Paul Milne has been appointed as Business Unit Finance Manager and will oversee all the finance related activities. A qualified Chartered Accountant from the UK, Paul has extensive work experience within the automotive sector including one of the UK's leading Fleet Management and Leasing companies.

Neil Parkins will take on the role of Fleet Operations Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the Fleet Management and Vehicle Leasing market, having spent over 15 years in operational management for two of the UK's leading companies. His specific expertise in maintenance management and knowledge of all other aspects of in life vehicle services will strengthen Hertz' service delivery in these areas and further enhance their customer experience.

Radka Plunderova will join the Hertz team as International Business Development Manager. Radka holds a diploma in Management and Development of Regional Tourism from the University of Tourism and Hotel Services Opava, Czech Republic.

Plunderova has strong experience within the Middle East tourism market following previous roles as Sales Manager for Southern Sun Middle East and European Inbound Manager for Planet Tours.

The changes follow the appointment of Nigel Johnson to the role of General Manager, Hertz UAE in April, who is driving the company's robust expansion plans.

"I firmly believe that the new members of our team will continue to provide us with the additional management support and expertise we need to continue with our growth and expansion plans while maintaining the service quality Hertz is known for,"

said Johnson.

Johnson previously worked in the fleet operation division of UK based automotive solutions provider, Inchcape, but relocated to Dubai from the UK to take charge of the ongoing expansion of the Hertz fleet of vehicles and network of branches across the UAE.

Hertz UAE currently operates 15 branches in the UAE with its latest openings at Dubai Marina and Dubai Festival City and has plans for branches at Sheikh Zayed Rd and Terminal 3 Dubai International Airport, as well as two full service mega-sites.

Hertz's fleet of vehicles is also expecting to grow to 8,500 this year.

Hertz recently launched a 90 day promotion entitling all customers to earn double Air Miles with every car rental, in celebration of Hertz' 90th anniversary. The promotion will run until 29 November 2008.
